About Me

Ever since I was a little girl, I would put on my mother’s high heels, take clothes from her closet, and do little runway shows in our home in the backlands of Virginia. Before I even knew what a model or high fashion was, I naturally wanted to strut down the runway. As a teenager, I could never find the clothes I wanted, so I would take something that was close and cut it up, reshape it, and style it to be more in alignment with my tastes. Years later, not much has changed.

When I was scouted online and taken up to NYC to see agencies, it was a sureal experience. I was hopeful, but not quite emotionally invested yet. To be honest, I had never really thought of myself as attractive. But I loved taking pictures, learning new poses and expressions, and saw modeling as an artform that I enjoyed a lot. So, with a grounded head and open heart, I went into each meeting and met the teams behind each agency. I was offered three contracts that day and decided to go with FORD.

The following months melted into years as every day I attended castings, walked onto different sets, and prepped for yet another runway show. I found myself traveling every three months to a new and exciting country, from Paris and Milan to Tokyo and Singapore. Everywhere I went, I was always elated to explore the culture of the location I was in and see the sights as much as I could between running to catch the metro.

In my twenties I moved to a boutique agency with a smaller board and began mentoring their new models. Some I would scout on the streets and introduce to agencies, others would be from my own agency. I would teach them how to walk, land castings, pose and the like, and I considered opening up my own modeling mentorship program. But the future had something else in store for me.

Unbeknownst to most people, while traveling the world I was an active member of many online communities and through that had begun learning web development and graphic design. I had started to get good at it, so when I dated a label signed musician who needed a new website before his album release and upcoming tour, I was happy to oblige.

With this newfound experience, I was hard to imagine going back to modeling full time. So I quit with all of my agencies and went on to create the branding and marketing department at a friend’s luxury real estate agency. A couple months later, I co-founded my first technology startup with an experienced CEO filling the CMO position.

Since then, I’ve founded three companies of my own and have accumulated quite the resume. Though, regardless of this, modeling is my passion and always will be a core part of who I am.
